Violence mars PoJK election first phase

Violence mars PoJK election first phase

The first phase of elections in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) was very violent.

There were fights between workers of different political parties, and a worker from the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) was killed.

The PPP blamed the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for the violence and said the authorities did not do enough to stop it.

Both parties accused each other of trying to cheat in the elections.

The PPP also said that slow phone services made it hard for people to vote and for emergency help to reach them.

The voting time was extended by an hour in some areas.

The PPP leader, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, was very sad about the worker's death and criticized the authorities for not listening to their warnings.
