Andhra Pradesh Temperatures Rise Sharply Amid Dry Westerly Winds

Temperatures became much hotter in parts of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday.

Bapatla had the biggest temperature increase, rising by 5.1°C.

Ongole and Kavali were the hottest places listed, at 39.3°C.

Nellore reached 39°C.

Visakhapatnam reached 37.4°C.

Hot winds made Beach Road in Visakhapatnam mostly empty at noon.

Weather officials said dry weather and winds from the west caused the rise.

They said these conditions may continue until a weather system forms over the Bay of Bengal.
