Nishant Kumar Backs JD-U Candidate Amid Bihar Poll Rift
A Bihar Legislative Council election is coming up for the Patna Graduates' seat.
The JD-U has chosen Neeraj Kumar as its candidate.
Nishant Kumar asked graduate and teacher voters to support him.
He said Neeraj Kumar had worked with the party for a long time.
But JD-U MLA Anant Singh is supporting a different candidate, Anuj Singh, from the Jan Suraaj Party.
This puts two party figures on different sides of the race.
JD-U state president Umesh Kushwaha said Anant Singh's choice was wrong.
The party's top leaders are watching what happens.
Nishant Kumar publicly urged voters to support JD-U nominee Neeraj Kumar in the Patna Graduates' constituency election.
