Karnataka Reviews CMP for Metro Extension to Doddaballapura

Karnataka Reviews CMP for Metro Extension to Doddaballapura

The Karnataka government is reviewing the Comprehensive Mobility Plan (CMP) for Bengaluru.

This plan helps decide where to build new metro rail lines.

Right now, the plan doesn't include extending the metro to Doddaballapura, a town about 40 km from Bengaluru.

The government says they will decide about this extension after the CMP is updated.

There has been a lot of development in Doddaballapura, including new industrial areas and a big project called KWIN City.

The government is considering these changes in the new plan.

They have already approved other metro phases, but Doddaballapura is not part of the current plans.

The minister said they will look at the proposals carefully and make a decision based on the revised CMP.
