Haryana Hospitals to Halt Ayushman Bharat Services
Many private hospitals in Haryana will stop offering services for the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
This is because the government owes them a lot of money, over 500 crore rupees, and has been slow to pay them.
The hospitals say they can't pay their staff and other expenses if they are not paid on time.
Over a crore people in Haryana use the scheme.
The government says they are working on paying the hospitals, but the hospitals have not been paid according to previous promises.
Around 650-700 private hospitals in Haryana will withdraw Ayushman Bharat services from August 7.
The withdrawal is due to pending dues of over ₹500 crore.
IMA Haryana claims payments are delayed by 4-5 months, despite government assurances.
Over 1.2 crore people in Haryana are enrolled in the scheme.
The Haryana government has stated that fund release has begun and hopes to resolve the issue.
