Ayushman Bharat Key to Universal Health Coverage

The event included discussions on rare diseases, medical genetics, and biosimilars by scientists and directors from prominent institutions.
Srivastava highlighted the four strategic pillars of Ayushman Bharat: Health and Wellness Centres, Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, and Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission.
The Secretary toured advanced research facilities at CDFD and appreciated studies on pathogens like Candida glabrata and Naegleria fowleri.
Srivastava encouraged CDFD to submit proposals for precautionary strategies and diagnostic solutions for genetic disorders and pathogen-related diseases, assuring Ministry support.
