AP Automates Property System for Urban Areas
The Andhra Pradesh government is making it easier to update property records in cities.
When you buy, sell, inherit, or gift a property, the changes will now automatically update with the government during registration.
You'll pay a fee, and then your records are updated.
This replaces the old way, which involved going to multiple offices and often taking a long time.
The pilot program was in Vijayawada.
Now it's expanded to other cities.
Andhra Pradesh government implements Urban Auto-Mutation of Properties in 17 municipal corporations.
The new system updates government data during property registration.
A stamp duty of 5%, transfer duty of 1.5%, and registration fee of 1% are required.
Mutation fee will be determined by each municipal corporation.
The initiative streamlines property record updates, replacing a previous, time-consuming process.
