Hyderabad Apartment Residents Protest Eviction Notice for Musi Project

Hyderabad Apartment Residents Protest Eviction Notice for Musi Project

People who live in a big apartment building called Madhu Park Ridge have been told they must leave their homes.

The government needs the land for a river project in Hyderabad called the Musi River project.

The residents do not want to leave their apartments.

They say the government has not explained how they will be compensated or helped.

They also say their questions and objections have not been answered.

So the residents asked the High Court to step in and help them.

Earlier, the state's Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy, said the project could move ahead without taking the apartment land.

The residents want officers to answer their objections before any talk of payment.

There are 425 homes in the building, and residents want more time to meet with the government.

At least one week should be given to them, especially for older people and those living far away.
