BJP Confident for Graduate MLC Seats After 2025 Poll Wins
This is about an election in the Indian state of Telangana.
Voters who are graduates will choose new members for the Legislative Council.
A political party called the BJP is feeling confident.
In 2025, it won two out of three similar elections.
Now there are two graduate seats to be filled.
One covers Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Mahbubnagar.
The other covers Warangal, Khammam and Nalgonda.
Many people in the BJP want to become candidates.
The party also plans to sign up as many graduate voters as it can.
The BJP hopes these elections will help it challenge the Congress government, which leads the state.
The BJP won two of the three Graduate and Teacher MLC seats it contested in Telangana in 2025.
The forthcoming graduate MLC elections cover the Hyderabad–Rangareddy–Mahbubnagar and Warangal–Khammam–Nalgonda constituencies.
The terms of sitting MLCs Surabhi Vani Devi and Chintapandu Naveen are scheduled to end on March 27, 2027.
The Election Commission is expected to issue the voter-enrolment notification between September 20 and 30, 2026, with registration from October to December.
