TG RERA Slaps ₹32 Lakh Penalty on Janapriya Projects
A couple booked a flat in a project run by Janapriya Projects.
The company accepted ₹2,44,608 before the project was registered with the real estate regulator.
The project was registered several months later.
Telangana’s real estate authority said this broke the rules.
It ordered the company to pay a penalty of ₹32,17,780.
The company must also finish the flat’s water and electricity connections.
It must give the couple a lawful, ready-to-move-in home and register the sale deed.
The couple will receive interest on their payments until the flat is handed over.
TG RERA held Janapriya Projects liable for collecting a booking advance before mandatory project registration.
The developer received ₹2,44,608 under an allotment letter dated March 30, 2019.
