Reliance Pauses Russian Oil Imports Amid US Sanctions
India has been buying a lot of oil from Russia, but now there are some problems because of rules from the US.
Two big companies, Indian Oil Corporation and Nayara Energy, are still buying Russian oil.
However, Reliance Industries, which was the biggest buyer last year, has stopped buying Russian oil for now.
This is because the US has put sanctions on Russia, making it harder to get the oil.
So, even though some companies are still buying, overall, India is buying less Russian oil.
Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) and Nayara Energy have increased their purchases of Russian crude oil this month.
Reliance Industries, India's biggest buyer of Russian oil last year, has not taken any Russian supplies so far this month.
US sanctions are disrupting the supply of Russian crude oil to India.
Overall, India's imports of Russian oil have declined due to these sanctions.
