Bangalore-Chennai Expressway Phase-III Nears Completion
The Bangalore-Chennai Expressway Phase-III is almost done.
Most of the work is finished, and it should be ready by July 2026.
There was a delay at the start because of problems like getting land and moving power lines.
One part of the project is still on hold because the company in charge has money problems.
Another road project, NH-48, is also being worked on.
It had delays too, but now it's moving forward and should be done by October 2026.
The government is making sure the roads are safe and easy to drive on while the work is happening.
Bangalore-Chennai Expressway Phase-III is 90% complete in three major packages, expected to finish by July 2026.
Initial delays were due to land acquisition, utility shifting, and approvals, but these issues have been resolved.
A 25.5 km package is stalled since May 2025 due to financial problems with the concessionaire.
NH-48 six-laning project is progressing with 20% completion, scheduled to finish by October 2026.
Safety measures like underpasses, flyovers, and grade separators are being added to accident-prone areas.
