MMRDA Extends BKC Plot Auction Deadline to August 21
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority, or MMRDA, is selling nine big pieces of land in a fancy part of Mumbai called the Bandra‑Kurla Complex.
They let people put in their offers until August 21, 2026, and will open the offers on August 24.
The land is worth about 9,285 crore rupees, which is a lot of money.
Some of the land is for offices and some is for homes.
The MMRDA wants the money to build roads, metros, and other projects in the city, so they don’t have to borrow as much.
MMRDA has extended the bid submission deadline for nine BKC plots to August 21, 2026.
The auction covers five commercial and four residential parcels with a combined reserve price of about Rs 9,285 crore.
Commercial plots C73–C77 have a reserve value of ~Rs 6,620 crore; residential plots R‑1.5 to R‑5 total ~Rs 2,664 crore.
Reserve rates set at Rs 4.82 lakh per sq m for commercial and Rs 3.52 lakh per sq m for residential plots.
The land monetisation aims to fund Mumbai infrastructure projects and reduce borrowing, with projected Rs 11,177 crore revenue.
