All-Women Factory Builds Noise Barriers for Bullet Train Project
Imagine a factory in India where only women work to build special walls that make the new bullet train quieter.
These walls are called noise barriers, and they stop the train's sound from bothering people.
This factory, run entirely by women, makes thousands of these barriers every month.
They use cool machines and are careful about the quality.
They are showing everyone that women are just as good as men at doing any job, especially in fields that used to be mostly men's work.
This project is helping make the bullet train a reality while also creating a better and fairer future.
Larsen and Toubro's all-women team runs a noise barrier factory in Vadodara, Gujarat, for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail project.
The factory produces 90,000 precast noise barriers monthly to reduce noise pollution along the rail route.
These barriers are 2 meters tall, 1 meter wide, and weigh 840 kg each.
Over 200,000 units have been installed across 100+ km of the rail project.
The initiative highlights women's leadership in the infrastructure sector, breaking gender stereotypes.
