Irdai highlights mis-selling concerns in insurance sector
The insurance regulator in India, Irdai, has said that mis-selling is a big problem in the insurance sector.
Mis-selling means selling insurance products to people without telling them all the important details.
The number of complaints about unfair business practices has gone up.
Irdai has advised insurance companies to find out why this is happening and to do better at making sure people understand what they are buying.
The report also says that not many people in India have insurance compared to the rest of the world.
The amount of money spent on insurance per person has gone up a little bit.
Mis-selling is a significant concern in the insurance sector, with a rise in unfair business practice grievances.

Irdai advises insurers to conduct root cause analysis and implement strategies to prevent mis-selling.
