iOS 27 Beta Code Hints at Six New iPhones Ahead
Apple makes iPhones, and it is working on new ones that it has not told us about yet.
A special test version of Apple's software, called iOS 27, has secret hints hidden inside.
People who look closely at the code can find clues about future iPhones.
The clues mention six new iPhones, including the iPhone 18 and iPhone Ultra.
The hints were found in files that control the phone's battery.
Each new iPhone has a secret code name, like V62 or V67.
The code also gives hints that Apple might be making a folding phone.
A folding phone is one that can bend like a book.
Apple will probably show off its fancy new phones in September.
But Apple has not officially said anything yet, so we have to wait and see.
The latest iOS 27 beta (Beta 5) contains references to six unreleased iPhone models, including the iPhone 18 lineup, iPhone Air 2 and iPhone Ultra.
The references were discovered in system files related to battery drivers and battery intelligence features.
Internal codenames include V62 (iPhone Air 2), V63 (iPhone 18 Pro), V64 (iPhone 18 Pro Max), V67 (iPhone 18), V68 (iPhone Ultra) and V69 (iPhone 18e).
Earlier iOS 27 beta code, flagged by researcher @M1Astra, hinted at foldable display support with references to 'fold state,' 'mechanical angle degrees' and 'display count.'
Rumours suggest September's Apple event will feature the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max alongside Apple's first foldable iPhone, with the iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e likely arriving later.
