Poonawalla to Walk Silently Against E20 Fuel Policy
Tehseen Poonawalla is a protest leader who wants to stop the government from mixing alcohol into petrol.
He tried to march with cars, but the police said he couldn’t.
So he decided to walk alone, staying silent and even planning a hunger strike.
He wants to show people can still speak up peacefully.
He hopes the police will let him do it.
He invites friends, students, and reporters to watch.
He says the walk is not against anyone, just a way to protect everyone’s right to ask questions.
The walk will start on August 1 in Delhi.
Tehseen Poonawalla canceled his vehicle march after Delhi Police denied permission.
He announced a solo silent walk from APJ Abdul Kalam Road to Gandhi Smriti, starting August 1, to protest ethanol‑blending (E20) in fuel.
The walk, called “A March for Awaaz Ki Azaadi,” will include a vow of silence and a hunger strike, and is intended to be peaceful.
Poonawalla said the march is not against any individual or institution but a defense of citizens’ constitutional right to question and speak.
He invited civil society, professionals, students, and media to witness the demonstration, pledging cooperation with law enforcement.
