Sonu Nigam Sings Mohammed Rafi Classic During Surgery
Sonu Nigam is a very famous singer from India who sings songs for movies.
He went to the hospital because a small bump on his left ring finger had come back after an earlier operation.
While the doctor was operating on his finger, Sonu started to sing.
He sang an old, beautiful song called 'Suhani Raat Dhal Chuki,' which was first sung by another great singer named Mohammed Rafi.
The doctor, Dr. Nilesh Satbhai, loves Sonu's music and was playing his songs during the surgery.
When a song came on without the singing part, Sonu sang along, right there on the operating table.
The doctors were surprised and very happy, and they recorded his singing so they could remember the special moment.
Sonu shared the video on Instagram so everyone could see it.
Many people watched the video and sent him wishes to get better soon, because they love his voice so much.
Sonu Nigam sang Mohammed Rafi's classic 'Suhani Raat Dhal Chuki' from the 1949 film Dulari while lying on the operating table during surgery.
The 53-year-old singer shared the impromptu performance video on Instagram on Sunday, August 9, writing, 'Singing in the pain... the Joy of Music!'
Nigam said the surgery was for a recurring growth on his left ring finger that returned for a second time after an operation about four months earlier, possibly due to an arthritis condition.
The performance was unplanned: his surgeon and admirer Dr. Nilesh Satbhai played his songs during the procedure, and Nigam sang about two or three songs while doctors recorded the moment.
Fans and fellow singers including Shreya Ghoshal, Mika Singh, Tony Kakkar, Vishal Mishra and Shirley Setia wished him a speedy recovery, while Nigam said he is not taking a break and has kept working after surgery.
