Nagaland Minister Calls For Sustained Sanitation, Behavioural Change

Nagaland held a cleanliness campaign from September 17 to October 2.

Minister Jacob Zhimomi said keeping places clean must be a lifelong effort.

He also said people need to change their daily habits and attitudes about sanitation.

The campaign included communities, students, young people and sanitation workers.

Different districts created useful items from waste, such as plastic bricks and cloth bags.

Some districts held health camps and activities to encourage sorting garbage.

Awards were given to villages and sanitation champions.

The event ended with tree planting and another cleanliness drive.
