Fadnavis Urges Evacuation of Dangerous Buildings After Collapse
Nine people died when a four‑storey building in Bhiwandi, India, fell down.
The building was called the Kohinoor Building and was known to be unsafe.
The state government had told people to leave it in June, but a contractor kept fixing it.
The collapse happened on Friday.
The chief minister, Devendra Fadnavis, said the government will help the families of those who died.
He also said the contractor will be taken to court.
The government wants to make sure no other dangerous buildings are used.
They are still looking for a few people who might be trapped under the rubble.
Everyone is working to keep people safe.
Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis urged evacuation of C1-category buildings after a four‑storey structure collapsed in Bhiwandi, killing nine.
