YSRC Leader Challenges TDP to Fresh Elections
A leader from the YSRC party in India named Kakani Govardhan Reddy had a press conference.
He said that 40 people who were elected as city council members (corporators) on his party's ticket left to join another party, the TDP.
He accused the TDP of unfairly convincing these members to leave.
He challenged the TDP to make these 40 members resign and run in new elections to see if they can really win the people's support.
He also said that the TDP hasn't even included the mayor, who they forced to resign, in their party.
He believes the people should decide who should be in power.
YSRC leader Kakani Govardhan Reddy challenged TDP to make 40 defecting corporators resign and face fresh elections.
Accused TDP of unethically poaching corporators elected on YSRC ticket.
Clarified that Mayor Potluri Sravanthi resigned from YSRC long ago and is not connected to the party now.
Alleged that TDP minister Ponguru Narayana bargains with corporators and cannot win direct elections.
