Google's Pixel 11 adds real-time sign-language-to-text translation

Google's Pixel 11 adds real-time sign-language-to-text translation

Google made a new phone called Pixel 11.

The phone has a special helper that can watch people's hands.

When someone uses sign language in front of the phone's camera, the phone turns their hand movements into written words on the screen.

This helps people who are deaf or hard of hearing talk to people who don't know sign language.

A big team at Google, called Google DeepMind, helped build this smart helper.

People who use sign language also helped Google make it.

The feature is called sign-to-text, and it works like talking into a phone, but with your hands instead of your voice.

It is free to use on the new Pixel 11 phones.

Google showed the phone at a big event on August 12.

Many people said the new feature is a good way to use smart technology.
