Telangana to Complete SLBC Tunnel with BRO Experts in Two Years
The Telangana government is bringing in experts to finish a tunnel project.
They're hiring a tunneling expert from the Border Roads Organisation and getting advice from a former director general.
Because the tunnel is in a protected area, they'll use special equipment to scan from the air.
They will also use Lidar surveys and consult with other experts to complete the remaining 9 km of tunnel bypassing the original alignment in two years.
Telangana government aims to complete Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel work in two years.
Col. Parikshit Mehra from BRO will be appointed as special secretary for the project.
Gen. Harpal Singh, former BRO director general, will advise the state government.
Airborne surveys using electromagnetic equipment will be conducted due to tiger reserve restrictions.
