Pakistan Fortifies Islamabad as PTI Marches for Imran Khan

Imran Khan’s political party wants him released from jail.

The party plans to lead supporters toward Islamabad on October 4.

The government has blocked roads with more than a thousand shipping containers.

It has also sent many police officers and ordered curfews.

Several PTI leaders and some of Khan’s sisters have been detained.

Khan’s supporters say his legal cases are politically motivated.

They believe large crowds can force the government to let them reach the capital.

The government is trying to stop the march and keep Islamabad secure.

The container operation reportedly costs about 46 million Pakistani rupees each day.
