SMU and Global Partners Launch Sustainable Finance Taxonomy Mapper
Imagine different countries have their own rulebooks for what counts as 'green' money.
These rulebooks can be confusing when people want to invest in green projects across borders.
Singapore Management University (SMU) and other universities and finance experts have created a special online tool called the Sustainable Finance Taxonomy Mapper.
This tool helps compare these different rulebooks, making it easier to understand them.
The goal is to help make it simpler for money to flow to good environmental projects worldwide.
They are also building a network for universities to share information and improve these green finance rules together.
Singapore Management University (SMU) has launched the Sustainable Finance Taxonomy Mapper with global partners.
The platform compares and connects sustainable finance taxonomies from different countries.
It aims to advance research, support policymakers, and enhance international interoperability of green finance standards.
The initiative is co-led by researchers from SMU, University College Dublin, and Dublin City University.
Universities worldwide are invited to contribute to the mapper and join a global academic network for sustainable finance.
