US Team to Visit India for Trade Pact Talks
A team of US officials is coming to India next week to talk about a trade deal.
The two countries are trying to make a deal to lower taxes on goods they sell to each other.
The US has put higher taxes on some Indian goods, which has made it harder for India to sell things to the US.
They want to make a smaller deal first to fix this problem before making a bigger, longer deal.
The goal is to increase trade between the two countries to $500 billion by 2030.
Right now, trade is at $191 billion.
The talks are important because India's exports to the US have been going down, and imports have been going up.
US delegation expected in India next week for trade talks.
Negotiations focus on a framework deal to address immediate tariff issues.
Full Bilateral Trade Agreement (BTA) expected to take longer.
India aims to secure a framework trade deal by the end of the year.
