Apple Invite May Hint at iPhone 18 Pro Camera Upgrade
Apple has invited people to an event on September 9.
The invitation shows a glowing Apple logo with a bright spot in the middle.
Some observers think this bright spot may hint at a new camera part called a mechanical aperture.
This part uses physical blades to control how much light enters the camera.
It could help photos look better in both dark and bright places.
The design’s blue color may also hint at a new Sky Blue iPhone.
These ideas are not confirmed, and Apple may reveal the real details at the event.
Reports also disagree about whether the camera upgrade would be on both Pro phones or only the Pro Max.
Apple’s “Surprise and shine” invitation for September 9 features a glowing Apple logo and central flare.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman believes the artwork may hint at a mechanical aperture for the iPhone 18 Pro Max.
A mechanical aperture could improve low-light photography, exposure control, depth of field and background blur.
The invitation’s light-blue design may suggest a Sky Blue finish, though Dark Cherry remains another reported option.
The iPhone 18 Pro models are expected to retain similar camera resolutions and screen sizes, while reports differ over aperture availability and pricing.
