MP Govt to Disburse ₹300 Crore Price Difference to Soya Farmers
The government in Madhya Pradesh is going to give money to farmers who grew soybeans.
This money is part of a special plan called the 'Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana.'
Sometimes, the price of soybeans in the market is lower than what the government thinks is fair.
So, the government will pay the farmers the difference.
On November 13, the Chief Minister will give ₹300 crore to over 1.3 lakh farmers.
This payment is for the soybeans they already sold.
Each farmer will get about ₹1,300 extra for every 100 kilograms of soybeans they sold.
This is because the current market price is around ₹4,036, but the government's fair model price is higher.
This money will go straight into the farmers' bank accounts.
The government also says this is a very successful plan that is transparent and pays farmers quickly.
Madhya Pradesh government will transfer ₹300 crore on November 13 under the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana.
The payment is for 1.32 lakh farmers from Dewas who sold their soybean crops.
Farmers will receive approximately ₹1,300 per quintal to cover the price difference.
The government is compensating for the difference between the daily declared model rate (₹4,036/quintal) and the actual market price.
Funds will be transferred directly to farmers' bank accounts via a single-click mechanism.

Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana Implementation
Government Initiative
The Madhya Pradesh government is implementing the 'Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana' for the soybean crop to pay farmers the difference between the market price and the Minimum Support Price (MSP). This initiative aims to ensure fair compensation for farmers and has been hailed as successful, setting a national benchmark for transparency and prompt payments.
Farmer Compensation
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will disburse the first installment of ₹300 crore to 1.32 lakh farmers under the Bhavantar scheme for their soybean produce. Each farmer will receive approximately ₹1,300 per quintal to bridge the gap between the mandi rate and the MSP, ensuring no farmer loses money due to low market prices.
Procurement and Pricing Mechanism
Government Initiative
The government has set a model rate for soybean at ₹4,036 per quintal, with daily rate updates declared in real time until the end of the procurement season. Over 1.60 lakh farmers have sold approximately 2.70 lakh tonnes of soybean under the scheme, with payments made instantly without middlemen. Registration is open on the official portal, helplines are activated, and over 350 purchase centres have been set up with transport subsidies for farmers.
Farmer Compensation
The Bhavantar scheme directly transfers the price difference between the daily declared model rate and the actual market price into farmers' bank accounts via a single-click mechanism. This ensures that farmers receive the benefit of the higher MSP, even if the market price is lower. The scheme also covers other crops like urad and moong.
