Mathematics Key to Viksit Bharat by 2047
Mathematics is very important for making India a strong and developed country by 2047.
A special award called the SASTRA-Ramanujan Award was given to a mathematician named Alexander Smith for his great work.
The award is given every year to young mathematicians who do amazing things in math, just like a famous mathematician named Srinivasa Ramanujan.
The person who gave the award, N Kailaiselvi, said that math helps in many areas of science and technology, especially with new things like quantum computing.
She encouraged researchers to use math in their work.

Alexander Smith will also give a special talk about Ramanujan on his birthday.
