On India's 80th Independence Day, a leader named Harsh Sanghavi raised the Indian flag in the city of Vadodara, in the western state of Gujarat.

He told everyone that India has only 20 more years to reach a big goal called 'Viksit Bharat,' which means a developed India by the year 2047.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi set that goal five years ago.

Sanghavi remembered famous leaders from Gujarat, like Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who helped India become free.

He also spoke about Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, who received help from Vadodara's Maharaja to study and later helped write India's Constitution.

He shared news about many projects, such as money for farmers, dams on rivers to stop floods, and a big pipeline to bring water for farming.

He also mentioned thousands of water-saving projects done under a program called Jal Shakti Abhiyan.

He said more than one lakh young people got jobs in Gujarat last year through special job fairs.

The celebration included a big parade, songs and dances by students, and certificates for 56 people who did good work.

At the end, Sanghavi planted a tree as part of a program called 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0.'
