India Rejects Trump's 'Dead Economy' Remark
India's Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, disagreed with US President Donald Trump's statement that India's economy is dead.
She said India's economy grew by 8.2% in the last quarter, which is much higher than the global average of 3.2%.
The government also approved extra spending of Rs 41,455 crore for things like fertiliser subsidies and higher education.
Sitharaman mentioned that the IMF gave India a C grade because of an old base year, not because of weak economic fundamentals.
