Researchers Share First Video Inside Turkey’s Ark-Like Formation
A research team is searching for Noah’s Ark in a boat-shaped formation in Turkey.
They sent a small drone through a hole in the formation.
The team shared video showing the drone moving inside.
They said their radar scans found no rock or bedrock in the structure.
However, this claim has not been independently confirmed.
The drone had trouble moving because the ground was covered with loose sediment.
Some researchers believe the formation could be Noah’s Ark from the Bible.
Most geologists think it is a natural rock formation.
More testing is planned to examine what is beneath the formation.
Noah’s Ark Scans released video of a drone entering a hole in Turkey’s Durupınar Formation.
The 515-foot formation has been linked by some people to Noah’s Ark, but no proof confirms the claim.
The team said radar scans found no rock or bedrock, though that statement remains unverified.
Andrew Jones said preliminary radar data did not show a simple homogeneous solid-rock signature.
Most geologists reportedly consider the formation a completely natural rock structure.
- Who
- Noah’s Ark Scans, founder Andrew Jones, Bakhtar Research and Engineering LLC, and archaeologist Cenker Atila are involved in the investigation.
- What
- The team released drone footage from inside the Durupınar Formation while searching for evidence linked to Noah’s Ark.
- When
- The footage and related statements were shared on Wednesday; no specific date was given.
- Where
- Inside the 515-foot Durupınar Formation in eastern Turkey, near Mount Ararat.
- Why
- The team wants to test the explanation that the formation is solid rock and investigate radar-mapped voids beneath it.

What the formation is
Research Team’s Interpretation
Noah’s Ark Scans believes the Durupınar Formation may be the remains of Noah’s Ark and wants to subject it to scientific testing.
Geologists’ Interpretation
Most geologists reportedly view Durupınar as a completely natural rock formation.

The team says radar scans found no rock or bedrock and did not show a simple homogeneous solid-rock signature.
Geologists’ Interpretation
The reported radar interpretation remains unverified and does not establish that the formation is Noah’s Ark.
