NRL Explores Ethanol-to-Jet Fuel; Refinery Hits Production Records
Imagine a factory that makes fuel from bamboo.
This factory, run by NRL, is doing very well!
They're also thinking about making fuel for airplanes, called jet fuel, from ethanol.
It's a tricky process, and they need a lot of ethanol to start.
They're waiting for more of these factories to be built so they can get enough ethanol.
Meanwhile, they’re also making more regular fuel and selling more of it than ever before, including diesel.
They even sell some diesel to Bangladesh!
They're doing a good job making and selling fuel.
NRL is considering ethanol-to-jet fuel production.
The current NRL biorefinery capacity is 50 KTA.
Refinery expansion is 81% complete.
NRL achieved over 100% capacity utilization in 2024-25.
Diesel export to Bangladesh increased significantly.
