Indonesia and Vantara Expand Major Wildlife Health Partnership

Indonesia is working with Vantara and PT Fauna Land Group to better protect wild animals.

The partnership will improve animal hospitals, veterinary care and conservation work.

Indonesia’s government will remain in charge of the facilities and programmes.

Experts will train elephant caregivers, veterinarians and other wildlife officials.

Ten mobile hospitals will travel to help wild animals in different parts of Indonesia.

The Way Kambas Elephant Hospital will receive new equipment and become a larger treatment and care centre.

It will help elephants living under human care and wild elephants in the surrounding area.

The partnership will also support rehabilitation, breeding, rewilding and other conservation efforts.
