KMC Councillor Seeks Solution for Street Children's Birth Certificates
A Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) councillor asked how to get birth certificates for two orphans found on the street who are now 18.
The KMC doesn't know where they were born, making it hard to issue certificates.
The KMC will look into the law to find a solution.
KMC councillor Biswarup De raised the issue of obtaining birth certificates for orphans found on the street
De asked deputy mayor Atin Ghosh for a solution as he has been unable to get birth certificates for two boys in his orphanage for three years
