NSE IPO Approval Expected Soon

NSE IPO Approval Expected Soon

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) in India is likely to get approval from the market regulator, SEBI, to start the process of going public by the end of this month.

This approval, called a no-objection certificate (NoC), is necessary for NSE to prepare and submit its offer document for the initial public offering (IPO).

After receiving the NoC, NSE will need to appoint merchant bankers and lawyers to review the offer documents before submitting them to its board and then to SEBI.

The price of NSE's unlisted shares has been fluctuating, but it rose to around ₹2,050 after the SEBI chairman's comments.

Retail investors have been increasing their shareholding in NSE, while foreign and corporate investors have been reducing theirs.

NSE's IPO is expected to be one of the largest in Indian stock market history.

Meanwhile, BSE shares rose sharply on the news, gaining over 4.5 percent in morning trade.

NSE reported a lower profit in Q2FY26 due to a one-time provision related to settlement applications with SEBI.
