Reliance Foundation Skilling Initiative Reaches Milestone
Reliance Foundation has reached a big goal in its skilling programs.
They have taught over 3 lakh young people new skills and helped 1.8 lakh find jobs.
At a special event called the 21st Century Skills Conclave, they talked about how important it is to learn skills for the future, especially with technology changing jobs.
Important people from the government and businesses spoke about how working together can help more young people get good jobs.
They also talked about how learning should be about more than just degrees, but about being ready for the jobs of the future.
Reliance Foundation has a special online platform with over 100 courses to help people learn these skills.
They even gave awards to 40 young people who did really well in their jobs after learning these skills.
Reliance Foundation has skilled over 3 lakh youth and employed 1.8 lakh youth, reaching a total of 12 lakh people.
The 21st Century Skills Conclave discussed the future of work and the importance of adaptable, future-focused skills.
Ms Madhavi Sardeshmukh, Director of Vocational Education and Training, Government of Maharashtra, emphasized the importance of capabilities over degrees.
Reliance Foundation's skilling initiatives include preparing young people for first-time formal employment, partnering with higher education institutions, and offering a digital platform with AI-enabled, personalized skilling pathways.
The event highlighted the success of 40 young achievers who have built sustainable livelihoods through Reliance Foundation's skilling programs.
