BYD Atto 2 Testing Resumes in India Ahead of Launch
BYD, a Chinese car company, is testing its new electric SUV called the Atto 2 in India.
The car has been seen on the road twice, and the latest pictures show new headlights and wheels.
BYD sells the Atto 2 as a pure electric car that can go about 430 kilometers on a full charge, and also as a plug‑in hybrid that can travel up to 1,000 kilometers.
In India, BYD only sells electric cars so far, but it plans to bring a hybrid model called the Seal U later this year.
It is still not clear if the Atto 2 will be sold in India as an electric car, a hybrid, or both.
BYD Atto 2 spotted testing in India for a second time.
Spy shots show sleeker LED headlamps, petal‑shaped alloy wheels, and a cabin ADAS camera.
Globally, the Atto 2 is sold as a pure EV (up to 430 km WLTP) and a plug‑in hybrid (combined 1,000 km).
It is unclear which version, or both, will launch in India.
BYD currently sells only EVs in India but plans to launch the Seal U hybrid by year‑end.
