Air India Posts ₹10,859 Crore Loss in Fiscal Year 2025
Air India, an airline, lost a lot of money in the last year, about 10,859 crore rupees.
This is after they combined with other airlines.
Although they made a lot of money in sales, they spent even more.
The airline is trying to get better by adding new planes and changing how they do things, but it costs a lot to keep the planes in good shape.
They also lost money because of how the value of money changed when they dealt with other countries.
But, they hope things will improve soon as they change things.
Air India reported a consolidated net loss of ₹10,859 crore in FY25.
The airline's revenue for the same period was ₹78,636 crore.
Standalone Air India, including Vistara, had a net loss of ₹3,976 crore on a revenue of ₹61,080 crore.
Air India Express, combined with AirAsia India, made a loss of ₹5,678 crore on a revenue of ₹16,033 crore.
Sources attribute the losses to fleet expansion, maintenance costs, and adverse foreign exchange movements.
