Spain's Mikel Merino Mocks Trump With Dance

During the FIFA World Cup 2026 final trophy presentation at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, Spanish player Mikel Merino was caught on camera mocking U.S. President Donald Trump with a dance.

The dance, known as the 'Trump Dance,' involves moving side-to-side, swinging hips and knees, and punching fists in the air to the beat of Village People's song 'Y.M.C.A.'

The video went viral on social media, with fans and supporters of both Merino and Trump having different opinions about the incident.

Some saw it as a light-hearted, humorous gesture, while others viewed it as disrespectful and inappropriate during a formal event.
