City of Dreams Sri Lanka: New Integrated Resort Launches
Imagine a brand new, super fancy place in Sri Lanka called City of Dreams!
It's like a giant playground for grown-ups, with a fancy hotel, a casino for games, and lots of places to eat and shop.
It's a partnership between a Sri Lankan company and a company from overseas that knows how to run casinos.
They built this because they saw a chance to bring in more tourists, especially from India and other nearby countries.
It has two different hotels for people with different needs: one with lots of rooms and one really fancy one with only a few rooms.
They hope it makes Sri Lanka a popular place for tourists from around the world.
City of Dreams, an integrated resort, launched in Colombo, Sri Lanka on August 2, 2025.
The project is a joint venture between John Keells Holdings and Melco Resorts & Entertainment.
The resort features an 800-room hotel, casino, shopping promenade, and dining experiences.
Nüwa, an ultra-luxury hotel brand, offers an exclusive experience with 113 rooms.
The resort aims to attract more tourists to Sri Lanka, especially from India and the surrounding regions.
