e-NAM Inter-State Trade Volume Plummets by 78% in 2024-25
Imagine farmers selling their crops online.
The e-NAM platform helps them do this.
However, the amount of crops being sold between different states has dropped a lot recently.
The government is trying to make it easier for farmers to trade across state lines by simplifying licenses.
They are also creating new tools to help farmers trade directly, and improving the online platform by adding services like grading.
So, hopefully, farmers can sell more crops more easily.
Inter-State trade volume on e-NAM declined by 78% in 2024-25.
Inter-State trade volume on e-NAM was 3,935 tonnes in 2024-25 and 18,005 tonnes in 2023-24.
Government is encouraging states to liberalize trading licenses to boost inter-State trade.
The FPO Trading Module was launched to allow FPOs to trade directly.
e-NAM 2.0 is being developed to integrate value-added services.
