Mumbai Bridge Could Cut Commutes From 90 To 10 Minutes

Madh Island and Versova are separated by Malad Creek.

Cars and other road vehicles cannot currently cross the creek directly.

Instead, commuters must travel along a longer route.

A proposed bridge could create a direct road connection.

The project is expected to cost ₹2,395 crore.

A jetty already connects the two areas, but it does not run all day or all year.

The jetty also stops during the monsoon.

The bridge could therefore make daily travel more convenient and reduce commuting time.
