India's Ethanol-Blended Petrol Supply Increases Significantly
India is mixing more ethanol, a type of alcohol, with gasoline.
This helps the country save money and cut down on pollution.
In 2019-20, they mixed a small amount, but now, they're mixing a lot more.
In 2025, they reached a high blending percentage.
This has helped farmers, who are now getting better prices for their crops because they're used to make ethanol.
The government is also aiming to mix even more ethanol into gasoline sooner than planned.
Ethanol-blended petrol supply increased from 173 crore liters in 2019-20 to over 700 crore liters in 2023-24.
