Madhya Pradesh Power Plant Unit Operates Non-Stop for 400 Days
Imagine a big machine that makes electricity for our homes and factories, called a power plant.
One special part of this plant in Madhya Pradesh, called Unit 5, has been working without stopping for a whole year and even longer – 400 days!
This is like a super-long unbroken record for a power unit in the state.
It means the machine has been working so well that it didn't need any breaks for maintenance that would stop it.
This is a big deal because it kept the lights on for everyone and showed that the people working there are very skilled and dedicated.
The plant also worked very efficiently, running almost all the time it was supposed to and producing a lot of power.
State-run Amarkantak Thermal Power Station (ATPS) Unit 5 has operated continuously for 400 days, a first in Madhya Pradesh history.
The 210-megawatt unit has been generating power non-stop since October 1, 2024.
This achievement highlights the dedication and technical competence of MPPGCL's operational and maintenance teams.
The unit maintained an exceptional Plant Availability Factor (PAF) of 98.26% and a Plant Load Factor (PLF) of 94.58%.
This feat provides stability to the state's power grid and ensures a smooth electricity supply to consumers.
