Indore Family Creates Giant Vande Mataram Rakhi for Ganesh

An Indore family makes a very large rakhi for Lord Ganesh every year.

A rakhi is a special bracelet used during Raksha Bandhan.

This year’s rakhi is 40 inches wide and 40 inches long.

It is shaped like a lotus and celebrates Vande Mataram and Sanatan Dharma.

The rakhi also shows several important Hindu deities.

It includes a message asking for Maa Vagdevi’s historic idol to be brought back from a London museum to Bhojshala in Dhar.

The family spent about two and a half months making it with decorative materials.

This is the 24th year that the family has made a special rakhi for the temple.
