Hyderabad Water Tanker Bookings Plummets With Early Monsoon
Imagine it got really hot, and some places in Hyderabad didn't have enough water, so they used trucks (tankers) to bring water.
Because the rainy season (monsoon) came early, it rained a lot, and the water problems got better.
People don't need the trucks as much now because there's more water from the rain and the ground.
Before, they might order a truck of water every day, now it might be every few days or even less.
Also, be careful because there are fake messages saying the water will be turned off, and the city says ignore those.
Water tanker bookings in Hyderabad's western corridor have dropped by up to 50% due to early monsoon.
Residential complexes heavily relied on tankers during summer, with a significant portion of bookings in the western corridor.
The Durgam Cheruvu division saw a decrease in tanker consumption from 2,000 to 1,000 per day.
Residents are now ordering fewer tankers, with some areas seeing a reduction from daily to every two-to-three days.
HMWSSB has alerted the public about fraudulent WhatsApp messages regarding water supply disconnection.
