Modi Oversaw Restoration of Sikh Heritage Site Lakhpat Gurdwara
A special place for Sikhs called Lakhpat Gurdwara Sahib, where a very important person named Guru Nanak Dev Ji once visited, was badly damaged by a big earthquake in 2001.
Narendra Modi, who was like the leader of the area (Chief Minister) back then, wanted to fix it.
He made sure to use the same old materials and found skilled workers to rebuild it exactly how it was before.
Because they did such a good job saving this old building, it even won a special award from UNESCO!
Now, the restored gurdwara is a beautiful reminder of Guru Nanak Dev Ji's teachings and a special place for people to visit and remember him.
