LSSC Launches Skills Training Initiative in Bengal
Imagine a group called LSSC is starting a special class to teach people how to make things out of leather, like clothes and bags.
They're starting in a place called Amtala, in Bengal, and plan to train many people.
They've already helped people in other nearby areas find jobs.
The goal is to help people, especially those from Scheduled Caste communities, find good jobs.
Important people from the leather industry are happy about it because it helps both the workers and the businesses grow.
They're also planning more training programs for people with disabilities and will work with other groups to get more young people and women involved.
LSSC launched a skills training program and awareness camp in Amtala, Bengal.
The program aims to train 620 candidates in leather goods and garment stitching.
The initiative builds on previous successful programs in nearby areas.
The focus is on creating sustainable livelihoods, especially for Scheduled Caste communities.
LSSC plans to expand training and partner with other organizations.
