Daayra Team Discusses Crime, Justice, Cinema And AI
Daayra is a film about crime, punishment and justice.
It follows two important characters whose views are not completely right or wrong.
Meghna Gulzar wanted audiences to think instead of simply choosing one side.
Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran said the film reflects problems in society.
They also said cinema can show negative things in order to help people fix them.
Gulzar believes human feelings and judgment cannot be replaced by artificial intelligence.
Sukumaran thinks people will need to learn how to use AI while protecting original ideas.
Kareena is especially worried about the harmful ways AI is being used online.
The team hopes viewers will have different feelings about the film at different times.
Meghna Gulzar says Daayra gives equal weight to its two protagonists rather than taking sides.
Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran say the film is intended to make audiences think about crime, punishment and justice.
The filmmakers defend cinema’s role in depicting social problems, while noting that films also reflect the society around them.
